winter/spring EDUCATION WORKSHOPS
Our Zoo workshops consist of fun, educational, hands-on activities and adventures on Zoo grounds (such as stories, games and art). Each workshop is 2 1/2 hours in length and is geared for children ages 5 -12 years. All workshops are held at the Charles Paddock Zoo. Pre-registration is required. Registration can be done online at www.atascadero.org or at City Hall (461-5000). Workshops are $10.00 per person for Zoo Society members and $12.00 per person for non-members. November 19th: Marvelous Madagascar - Africa and its neighboring islands (including Madagascar) have an astounding number of plant and animal families that live nowhere else on Earth. The habitat on Madigascar that contains these plants and animals is being lost at a faster rate than almost anywhere else in the world. Learn what is being done globally and locally to protect this priceless treasure, as well as what you can do to help. Highlighted Animals: Lamures, Hissing Cockroaches, Fossa.
