winter/spring EDUCATION WORKSHOPS
Our Zoo workshops consist of fun, educational, hands-on activities and adventures on Zoo grounds (such as stories, games and art). Each workshop is 2 1/2 hours in length and is geared for children ages 5 -12 years. All workshops are held at the Charles Paddock Zoo. Pre-registration is required. Registration can be done online at www.atascadero.org or at City Hall (461-5000). Workshops are $12.00 per person for Zoo Society members and $15.00 per person for non-members. February 20, 2010 - 10:00am - 12:30pm "Have a Heart" - Who says Valentine's Day is just for humans? Help us celebrate the love that's in the air by making some special Valentine treats for our animals. We'll even make one for you to take home to your backyard feathered friends
March 27, 2010 & April 10, 2010 - 10:00am - 12:30pm "Furry & Fluffy" - Bunny Town and Chick City is Back! Here is your chance to get a peep behind the scenes while getting to know more about rabbits, hares and chicks, OH MY!
May 15, 2010 - 10:00am - 12:30pm "Mom-ology" - Celebrates Moms of all species! Animals raise and teach their young in many different ways. Get ready to learn some fun facts and participate in activities that will help you to appreciate what being a Mom is all about!
