The mission of the Central Coast Zoo Society is to financially support and promote the Charles Paddock Zoo and its programs. To that end, we have developed a gift acceptance policy to both protect and enhance the interests of our donors, our community, and the Central Coast Zoo Society. This policy is designed to assure that gifts made to the Central Coast Zoo Society are structured to provide optimal benefits to all parties.

The Central Coast Zoo Society will primarily accept gifts that can easily be converted to cash, or cash equivalents to be used to fulfill the Central Coast Zoo Society’s mission. Gifts will be dispersed or reinvested according to the structure of the gift and policies approved by the Central Coast Zoo Society’s Board of Directors. The amount of the gift that can be claimed as a tax-deductible charitable contribution shall be determined by current guidelines from state and federal tax authorities.
